Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 2025
You have entered Bone Runner. By doing so you agree to be bound by these terms. They are not enchanted, but they are binding. Read them.
The Licence
Bone Runner grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the game in a web browser for private, non-commercial entertainment. This licence is limited to the act of playing and does not extend to any underlying code, artwork, character designs, animations, or audio. Those remain the exclusive property of Bone Runner's creators.
Permitted Use
You may play Bone Runner freely, share a link to it, and discuss it in reviews, social media posts, or fan communities. Non-commercial fan art inspired by the game is welcomed in the spirit in which it is offered.
Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are not permitted under any circumstances:
- Extracting, copying, or redistributing any portion of the game's source code or visual assets
- Using automated scripts, bots, or exploits to manipulate gameplay or fabricate scores
- Republishing or rebranding Bone Runner as a different game, whether commercially or otherwise
- Incorporating any element of Bone Runner into a commercial product or service without written authorisation
- Any use that would constitute a violation of applicable law in your jurisdiction
Intellectual Property
Every element of Bone Runner — the skeleton character, enemy designs, the cemetery environment, the scythe hazard, the soul gem collectibles, the visual style, and all accompanying code — is original creative work protected by intellectual property law. All rights are reserved. Playing the game conveys no ownership interest of any kind.
Modifications to the Game
We reserve the right to change, update, or discontinue Bone Runner at any time without advance notice. New features may be added and existing ones removed. We are not obligated to maintain any particular version of the game in any particular state.
No Warranty
Bone Runner is provided as-is. We offer no warranty, express or implied, regarding the game's performance, compatibility with your device or browser, or freedom from bugs. Bones may occasionally misbehave. That's part of the aesthetic.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the creators of Bone Runner shall not be liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of or inability to access the game. This includes, but is not limited to, the existential frustration of a new high score perishing alongside a browser tab.
Amendments
We may revise these terms at our discretion. Revised terms become effective when published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Bone Runner after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
